Head of Growth / GTM (Founding), SF

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Founding Head of Growth / GTM at Wrangle, based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You’ll own how Wrangle grows, end to end. That includes distribution, positioning, sales motion, partnerships, and experimentation. This is not a narrow marketing role; it’s a builder role. You’ll work directly with the founders to turn product strength into revenue, repeatable pipelines, and real market pull.

Your focus will be on:

  • Designing and executing Wrangle’s GTM strategy from zero → repeatable revenue

  • Figuring out what actually converts (and killing what doesn’t)

  • Building early sales motion (founder-led → scalable)

  • Owning messaging, ICP definition, and positioning

  • Driving experiments across outbound, inbound, partnerships, and community

  • Helping shape the product roadmap based on real customer signal

You’ll have high agency, real ownership, and direct impact on the trajectory of the company.

Process

If selected from the initial pool, you'll be briefly screened by one of the founders for eligibility. There will be a second screen to assess ability, and discuss culture and role fit. If selected post-screen, you'll communicate directly with the founding team to set up a paid work trial where you'll be given a specific focus and asked to implement changes/new functionality, where you'll be evaluated on following guidelines, utilizing available resources (AI permitted), and quality of the output.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build or significantly move growth at an early-stage product

  • Comfortable owning sales, partnerships, marketing, and experimentation without rigid boundaries

  • Ability to operate with little structure and create it where needed

  • Clear written and verbal communication; can explain why something will work

  • Experience with B2B SaaS, developer tools, recruiting, or workflow software is a plus

  • Prior startup experience strongly preferred

  • Prior founding or early-employee experience is a huge plus

  • Able to work hybrid and be in the office (Menlo Park or SF) multiple days per week

Compensation

Compensation is in the $100k-150k range, with competitive equity.
